The debugging steps of frequency converter put into operation
2024/2/27 13:02:44

Usually according to the converter no-load test run, no-load operation of the inverter with motor and load commissioning run three steps to complete, the following three steps are described in detail.

1.the no-load test run of the inverter

First, the no-load test run of the inverter, first check all the wiring of the inverter is correct, the output of the inverter first do not connect to the motor, the inverter first no-load test. Read the manual carefully before power-on, familiar with the relevant functions and settings, operation methods, on this basis power. There are two purposes for no-load trial operation: one is to be familiar with the keyboard and related operation methods, such as forward, reverse, stop and other operations, and observe the operation of the inverter, temperature rise is normal. Second, to be familiar with the related functions of the setting, Operation Methods, after the set can try to see the basic functions of the action state and action process, such as up, down time settings. On this basis to see the external terminal signal, control action is normal, such as clockwise rotating potentiometer or change the frequency of a given current, the frequency of the inverter output changes with a given signal changes.

2.and then use the inverter with motor no-load test run

After the no-load test run is normal, the inverter can be connected to the motor for no-load test run. Before connecting the motor, make sure that the various technical indicators of the motor is qualified. Don't load the motor. Then let the inverter drive motor rotation, observe whether the normal, such as motor rotation direction is up to the requirements. Turn the given frequency potentiometer counter-clockwise to 0 Hz at the left end, then switch on the forward-rotating switch (FWD) of the frequency converter, slowly rotate the potentiometer clockwise so that the given frequency gradually increases, and observe the rotation of the motor, at 50% of the maximum frequency, let the motor turn for a few minutes, and observe the voltage, current values, and then let the inverter output frequency to the maximum frequency, and let the motor turn for a few minutes. Then lower the output frequency to 75% , 25% of the maximum frequency, let the motor turn for a while, then increase the output frequency, and then disconnect the FWD, to see if the motor decelerates according to the set time to stop. This process basically does not need to carry on the parameter setting, when using the frequency converter factory parameter preset value is feasible.

3. Finally, perform a loaded debug run

Through the above two steps of trial operation, you can carry out the work with a load, that is, to adjust the set parameters, so that the inverter can drive the normal operation of the motor as required. During the debugging and running of the motor with load, we should pay attention to the abnormal sound and vibration of the motor and machinery.

The operation method is basically the same as the second step. Because the preset value of the parameters when the frequency converter leaves the factory may be different from the load characteristics at the use site, it is necessary to adjust some parameters according to the actual situation at the site, that is, parameter setting and debugging. During debugging, it is important to observe whether the setting of torque, the setting of acceleration and deceleration time match the load characteristics when the motor starts with load. The most intuitive is to see the motor in the start, acceleration, deceleration process there is no trip alarm, or should be based on the actual situation and then adjust the relevant parameters.

Specifically, the given frequency potentiometer clockwise to the right 50 Hz, and then turn on the forward converter switch (FWD) , then the motor should be set to speed up the maximum acceleration time, in the acceleration process if overload, over-current alarm or tripping, indicating that the acceleration time set short should appropriately increase the acceleration time. At the maximum frequency 50% , let the motor rotation for a few minutes, and observe the voltage, current value. Then turn off the forward switch. The motor should slow down and stop at a set deceleration time. In the course of deceleration, if overload, over voltage alarm or trip, the deceleration time should be set too short to appropriately increase the deceleration time. And then rotate the given frequency potentiometer, use it to increase and reduce the given frequency, and observe whether the motor can steadily speed up and decelerate, and do not alarm tripping. With the current signal as the frequency of a given frequency converter, its debugging method is the same as above, just to adjust the potentiometer to adjust the current size.

In debugging, frequency converter alarm, tripping is a very common thing, for beginners do not panic. The alarm and trip show that the protection function of the inverter is normal because the relevant parameters are not adjusted to the ideal state when debugging, that is to say, the requirements of load characteristics have not been met, at this point, the fault display information of the converter, combined with the user's manual to determine the next step of debugging ideas, until a satisfactory debugging effect.
