The physical environment is an important aspect of the use of VFD. Based on my experience with a maintenance professional, most of the problems in VFD are caused by the VFD logistics environment, including the following three aspects:
1. Operating Temperature: VFD inside a lot of electronic components, some will change with the temperature and performance, and even some will be temperature damage. Therefore, it is best to control the operating temperature within 0-55 ° C, some of the items easy to heat should not be connected with the VFD.
2. Ambient temperature difference: if the ambient temperature changes too much, due to the temperature difference, will occur in the internal dew. In the start, easy because of short circuit burn out. Therefore, in places where the temperature difference between day and night is large, some desiccant placed inside will help to remove condensation.
3. Corrosive gases. The internal electronic component of the VFD are less resistant to corrosion and may not normally come into contact with corrosive liquids and solids, but corrosive gases can also cause damage to components, so avoid excessive contact between corrosive gases and the VFD.
